Ethical Code of Conduct for Odontology AI

1. Transparency and Accountability

We provide clear and understandable information about the operation and impact of our AI solution. We have supplier responsibility for the potential consequences of AI for society, users and the environment. However, we are not responsible for the user’s own queries and their results as described in our Terms of Use.

2. Human-Centric Approach and Fairness

We will develop and use AI in accordance with the principles of human welfare and respect for human rights. We will ensure that our AI solutions themselves do not discriminate against or harm anyone and that they promote equality and inclusiveness.

3. Data Privacy and Security

We handle personal data carefully and comply with the relevant data protection laws and regulations. We protect our systems against cyber threats and seek to minimise the risks to users.

4. Integrity, Fair Competition, and Anti-Corruption

We adhere to high ethical standards in our business and avoid misleading or unethical behaviour. We are committed to fighting corruption and malpractice at all levels of our operations and to promoting transparency. 

We will respect regulations, laws and recommendations that ensure the responsible development and use of AI. We will strengthen an organisational culture that encourages whistleblowing and promotes ethical decision-making. We will support innovation in a responsible and fair competition manner.

5. Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility

We are committed to developing AI solutions that support sustainable development and help solve environmental challenges. We strive to optimise computing power and energy efficiency so that our AI solutions minimise our carbon footprint. 

We reduce electronic waste and promote sustainable procurement practices. We aim to work with organisations that promote green technology and climate-resilient innovation.

6. Social Responsibility and Societal Impact

We promote the ethical use of AI that supports social well-being and positive societal development. We have considered the impact of AI technology on employment and the solution we offer helps workers to move into new roles. We support education and skills development to make the benefits of AI widely available and accessible to all. We will ensure that our AI solution supports democratic values, freedom of expression and justice. We will work with communities and stakeholders to ensure that AI delivers benefits to society at large.

7. Protection of Children and Vulnerable Groups

We will develop and use AI in a way that ensures the safety and well-being of children. We prevent child abuse, manipulation or the spread of harmful content in our AI solution through internal monitoring. We will ensure that AI does not reinforce discrimination against vulnerable groups or make their position in society more difficult. In particular, we will take into account the needs of people with disabilities, the elderly and socially vulnerable groups when developing AI solutions. 

We will work with experts and regulatory bodies to ensure that AI supports the rights and safety of children and vulnerable groups.

8. Work Environment and Collaboration

We create a safe, equal and supportive working environment for all our employees and external consultants. We promote open communication and an inclusive workplace culture where everyone’s opinions and perspectives are taken into account. 

We support diversity and inclusiveness in the workplace and ensure that AI development takes advantage of different backgrounds and perspectives. We ensure that employees have opportunities for continuous learning and development in AI technologies and ethical practices.

9. Reporting and Handling Misconduct

We will create clear mechanisms for employees, users and stakeholders to report ethical violations and concerns. We will ensure that all reported misconduct is investigated thoroughly and objectively. We protect whistleblowers and ensure that there are no negative consequences for reporting.

We will take appropriate corrective action and sanctions to prevent and resolve ethical violations. We publish reports on our accountability measures and on how ethical practices are implemented in our organisation.
